  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You have started characteristic maintenance within the context of a
    <DS:GLOS.77F1BB51B62DD14CA9C4D380E11B1C9F>source data basis</>. However,
the characteristic is also used in an ordinary
    <DS:GLOS.3C14A7065A82D511B1250008C784EFB1>data basis</>. Under certain c
ircumstances, the role this characteristic has in the ordinary data
basis can require higher data consistency. These requirements can be
fulfilled only if you define the characteristic values (in the
Consolidation Workbench) that you get when you set the parameters for a
consolidation area of this data basis.

    System Response

The characteristic values can only be displayed in the context of the
source data basis. Changes are not possible.

    How to fix this error?

To change the characteristic values, first find out which consolidation
area uses the characteristic. Then set the parameters for that
consolidation area. Now you will be able to edit the characteristic
    values in the Workbench.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
