What causes this issue?

In a different <DS:GLOS.3C14A7065A82D511B1250008C784EFB1>data basis</>,
characteristic &V1& is being used as a
<DS:GLOS.92FA4F84C681D511B1250008C784EFB1>document type</>. The complex
criteria for the consistency check of a document type can be checked
only in a consolidation area in which that characteristic is used as the
document type. This requirement is not given in the current
consolidation area.

System Response

The changes to the values of characteristic &V1& cannot be saved.

How to fix this error?

Maintain characteristic &V1& in a consolidation area in which the
characteristic is used as a document type.
