Message text: &3: Currently, cannot determine which characteristics are available
In <DS:GLOS.3C14A7065A82D511B1250008C784EFB1>data basis</> &V1&, the ODS
object &V4& is being used as the data store for &V3&. However, the ODS
object is presently not accessible over RFC destination &V2&. Therefore,
the system cannot determine the characteristics and key figures.
The characteristics and key figures determined earlier will be retained.
If the definition of the ODS object is to remain unchanged, you can
continue maintaining the data basis. Otherwise, you first need to
reestablish the RFC connection to BW.

UCM0056
- &3: Currently, cannot determine which characteristics are available ?The SAP error message UCM0056 typically indicates that the system is unable to determine which characteristics are available for a specific configuration or variant. This can occur in the context of SAP Variant Configuration (VC) when the system is trying to process a configurable material but cannot find the necessary characteristics to proceed.
Causes:
- Missing Characteristics: The characteristics that are supposed to be linked to the configurable material may not be defined or may be missing in the configuration profile.
- Incorrect Configuration Profile: The configuration profile assigned to the material may not be set up correctly, leading to the inability to determine available characteristics.
- Data Inconsistencies: There may be inconsistencies or errors in the master data related to the material or its characteristics.
- Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to view or access certain characteristics.
- Dependencies Not Defined: If there are dependencies (like class or characteristic dependencies) that are not properly defined, the system may fail to identify available characteristics.
Solutions:
- Check Configuration Profile: Verify that the configuration profile assigned to the material is correct and that all necessary characteristics are included.
- Review Characteristics: Ensure that all required characteristics are defined in the class assigned to the material. Check if they are marked as "available" for the configuration.
- Validate Dependencies: Review any dependencies associated with the characteristics and ensure they are correctly defined and active.
- Check Authorizations: Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to access the characteristics and configuration data.
- Data Consistency Check: Run consistency checks on the material master and configuration data to identify and rectify any inconsistencies.
- Debugging: If the issue persists, consider using debugging tools to trace the execution and identify where the determination process fails.
