What causes this issue?

In the Customizing settings for the assignment of restatements for the
balance carryforward, you assigned a target restatement to source
restatement &V1&.
Restatement &V1& has no reference. You therefore must not assign a
target restatement to source restatement &V1&. You are only permitted to
select the <LS>No Balance Carryforward</> checkbox for source
restatement &V1&.

System Response

The Customizing settings for the assignment of restatements for the
balance carryforward are inconsistent and cannot be saved.

How to fix this error?

Adjust the assignment as outlined above.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
