What causes this issue?

In C/I Customizing under Equity Method Posting, you have not specified
the item for negative investments for scope of reported data &V1&.
This item is needed in the
<DS:GLOS.352A9804D3895CD5E10000009B38F974>equity method</> for the
separate disclosure of the negative investment during adjustments. This
can be a balance sheet item or a statistical balance item.
Regardless of the item type, consolidation of investments requires the
negative investment item for statistical purposes. If multiple scopes of
reported data are defined, then you need to assign a different negative
investment item to each scope - that is, the assignment must be
reversible.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
