    Characteristic &V1& plays the role of a consolidation unit to which a
    partner characteristic has been assigned. The system automatically
    makes the assignment of such characteristics in the differential rows,
    that is, in accordance with the the characteristic values assigned in
    the elimination data, and the strategy for posting differences that is
    to be used. Thus, the assignment of characteristic &V1& to layout
    component &V2& is not feasible.
