What causes this issue?

No restriction for characteristic &V3& was defined for component &V2& in
method step &V1&. However, according to the definitions in the method
layout, values are assigned to this characteristic at the current level
of the step hierarchy.
However, a restriction existed at a higher level, but this has been
revoked in the mean time.

System Response

Restriction for characteristic &V3& has been adopted from a higher level
of the step hierarchy (method step &V4).

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
