What causes this issue?

The Customizing of the template call is not complete. Field &v1& was
either not assigned to any characteristics or to an incorrect
characteristic.

How to fix this error?

Check the settings under <DS:SIMG.UA_UPLMAP>Assign Fields</>. Make sure
that field &v1& is assigned to an existing characteristic.
