  • What causes this issue?

A conflict has arisen between two technical meter readings that are
valid on the same activity date:
MR document &V1& (with <ZH>technical</> MR reason &V2&)
MR document &V3& (with <ZH>technical</> MR reason &V4&)
This does not make any sense, since these changes can no longer be

    How to fix this error?

    <ZH>Regular procedure:</>
If <ZH>several technical changes</> are made on the same date, they must
be executed <ZH>at the same time</>.

installation structure, register descriptions, device allocation,
    disconnection and reconnection.
A <ZH>pair of meter readings</> suffice for replacement, device
modification and changes to the logical register number.
    <ZH>Exception:</>

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message U7027 - Too many technical meter readings in one activity day ?

The SAP error message U7027, "Too many technical meter readings in one activity day," typically occurs in the context of SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) when there are too many technical meter readings recorded for a single day. This can happen due to various reasons, such as data entry errors, system configuration issues, or operational practices that lead to excessive readings being logged.

    Cause:

    1. Excessive Meter Readings: The system has a limit on the number of technical meter readings that can be recorded for a single day. If this limit is exceeded, the error will be triggered.
    2. Configuration Settings: The configuration settings in the SAP system may define a maximum number of readings allowed per day, which can be set too low for the operational needs.
    3. Data Entry Errors: Manual entries or automated processes may inadvertently create multiple readings for the same meter on the same day.
    4. Batch Processing: If batch jobs or processes are set to run multiple times in a day, they may generate multiple readings unintentionally.

    Solution:

    1. Review and Adjust Configuration: Check the configuration settings in the SAP system related to meter readings. You may need to adjust the maximum number of allowed readings per day to accommodate your operational needs.

      • This can typically be found in the configuration settings under the IS-U module.
    2. Data Cleanup: Review the meter readings recorded for the day in question. If there are duplicate or erroneous readings, they should be corrected or deleted.

      • Use transaction codes like EL31 (for meter reading documents) to review and manage readings.
    3. Operational Procedures: Implement or revise operational procedures to ensure that meter readings are entered correctly and that there are no unnecessary duplicates.

      • Train staff on proper data entry practices to minimize errors.
    4. Batch Job Scheduling: If batch jobs are causing multiple readings, review the scheduling of these jobs to ensure they do not overlap or run excessively.
