What causes this issue?

Controlling object (cost center or order) &V1& is assigned to group
&V2&. You have already assigned a Funds Management (FM) account
assignment to group &V2&, which is valid for all controlling objects
from this group.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

If you want to assign a different FM account assignment to controlling
object &V1&, you must cancel the group assignment of controlling object
&V1& to group &V2& within Controlling.
