Message class: TW - R3trans - Messages
Message number: 188
Message text: & not found. The object will NOT be deleted in the target system.
The object could not be found during the export.
For this specific object type, there is no automatic deletion in the
target system.
If you have created this entry in the transport request manually, or
have included another request as a reference, the deleted object must
not be transported. You can therefore remove the entry from the
transport request.
If you still want to delete the object, you must create an object with
the same name and type and then delete it. The semantics of the object
do not matter here. The Transport Organizer uses the same request to
log this change.

- & not found. The object will NOT be deleted in the target system. ?The SAP error message TW188 typically indicates that there is an issue with the transport of objects between systems, particularly when trying to delete an object in the target system. The message states that the object will not be deleted in the target system, which can occur for several reasons.
Cause:
- Object Not Found: The object you are trying to delete does not exist in the target system. This could be due to the object never being transported to the target system or it being deleted manually in the target system.
- Transport Request Issues: There may be issues with the transport request itself, such as it being incomplete or not properly released.
- Authorization Issues: The user performing the deletion may not have the necessary authorizations to delete the object in the target system.
- Dependencies: The object may have dependencies that prevent it from being deleted. For example, if other objects depend on it, the system may block the deletion.
- Transport Layer Issues: There could be issues with the transport layer configuration or the transport directory.
Solution:
- Check Object Existence: Verify if the object exists in the target system. You can do this by checking the relevant transaction or using SE80/SE11/SE37, depending on the object type.
- Review Transport Request: Ensure that the transport request is complete and has been properly released. You can check this in transaction SE09 or SE10.
- Check Authorizations: Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to delete objects in the target system. You may need to consult with your security team.
- Check Dependencies: Investigate if there are any dependencies that prevent the deletion of the object. You may need to delete or modify dependent objects first.
- Transport Configuration: Review the transport configuration settings to ensure everything is set up correctly. This includes checking the transport routes and layers.
- Manual Deletion: If the object is confirmed to be non-existent or if it is safe to do so, you may consider manually deleting the object in the target system if applicable.
