The user has cancelled the transaction in foreground processing with
the OK Code /n. This cancellation affects the entire execution which
was called via the function module CAT_START, not only the current
procedure as in /bn. You can go to the log display despite the
    cancellation.
&WHAT_TO_DO& Use the OK-Code /bn to end the current foreground
transaction if you do not want to cancel the execution as well.

The SAP error message TT366 "CAT_START was canceled by user" typically occurs when a user cancels a transaction or process that was initiated in the SAP system. The message indicates that the user has interrupted the execution of a transaction, which in this case is related to the CAT (CATS - Cross-Application Time Sheet) functionality.

    Cause:

    1. User Intervention: The most common cause is that the user manually canceled the transaction by pressing the cancel button or using the /n command, which is used to terminate the current transaction in SAP.

    3. Navigation Issues: Users may inadvertently cancel a transaction while navigating through the SAP GUI.
    4. Error in Data Entry: If the user realizes that they have entered incorrect data, they might choose to cancel the transaction.

    Solution:

    1. Re-initiate the Transaction: If the cancellation was unintentional, the user can simply re-initiate the transaction. They can do this by entering the transaction code again or navigating back to the relevant menu.
    2. Check for Errors: If the cancellation was due to an error or long processing time, check for any underlying issues that may have caused the delay or error. This could involve reviewing logs or system performance.
    3. User Training: If users frequently cancel transactions, consider providing additional training on how to properly use the SAP system and navigate through transactions.
    4. System Performance: If the system is slow, it may be worth investigating performance issues. This could involve checking server load, network issues, or database performance.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes related to CATS, such as CAT2 (Time Sheet: Maintain), CAT3 (Time Sheet: Display), etc.
