Message text: Entries for source and target release of upgrade missing (see long text)
The system was unable to determine the source and target release of
your upgrade. The entries for source and target release are either
missing from the UVERS table (Releasewechsel-Informationen) or are
incomplete.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Check whether the entries in the UVERS table are consistent with your
upgrade. You must correct inconsistencies between entries to be able to
continue reasonably with the 'Regenerate After an SAP Upgrade' task.
Alternatively you can correct the entries by using the 'Generate All
Objects of Selected Software Components' task. For this task, the load
generated is usually larger than for the 'Regenerate After an SAP
Upgrade' task, which means a longer generation time. To make use of
this alternative, on the initial screen of transaction SGEN choose
'Generate All Objects of Selected Software Components' instead of
'Regenerate After an SAP System Upgrade'. Select the software
components and application server once again.
The amount to be generated for the task 'Regenerate After an SAP System
Upgrade' consists of the objects that were delivered in the release
interval (source release, target release), and objects that were
generated before the upgrade and are stored in the REPLIST file,
located in the working directory of your system (profile parameter
DIR_HOME). Due to the missing upgrade data, the objects from the
release interval could not be defined. In some cases it is a good idea
to generate the objects in the REPLIST list only. This allows you to
generate any lists that you have stored under the name REPLIST in the
DIR_HOME directory, outside of an upgrade also.
Due to this, this message is followed by a dialog box that enables you
to choose between the following two alternatives:
New selection of a generation task
Generate objects from the REPLIST list only.
