TRUST103
- Certificate with issuer &1 and serial number &2 already exists ?The SAP error message TRUST103 indicates that there is an issue with a digital certificate in the SAP system. Specifically, it means that a certificate with the specified issuer and serial number already exists in the system's trust store. This can occur when you attempt to import a certificate that is already present, leading to a conflict.
Cause:
- Duplicate Certificate: The most common cause of this error is that the certificate you are trying to import is already present in the system's certificate store. This can happen if the certificate was previously imported or if there is a configuration issue.
- Certificate Renewal: If a certificate has been renewed and the new certificate has the same issuer and serial number as the old one, this error may occur.
- Incorrect Import Process: The process of importing certificates may not have been followed correctly, leading to duplicates.
Solution:
To resolve the TRUST103 error, you can follow these steps:
Check Existing Certificates:
- Go to transaction STRUST in your SAP system.
- Navigate to the appropriate trust store (e.g., "SSL Client (Standard)" or "SSL Server (Standard)").
- Look for the certificate with the specified issuer and serial number.
Delete or Replace the Existing Certificate:
- If you find the duplicate certificate and it is no longer needed, you can delete it.
- If the certificate is outdated or incorrect, you may need to replace it with the new one.
Import the Certificate Again:
- After removing the duplicate, try importing the new certificate again using the same process you initially used.
Verify the Certificate Chain:
- Ensure that the entire certificate chain is valid and that all intermediate certificates are also present in the trust store.
Check for Configuration Issues:
- Review your configuration settings to ensure that there are no issues that could lead to duplicate imports.
