  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message TRTM_CUSTOMIZING054 - Assign only one flow type to flow category &1 in condition group &2 ?

The SAP error message TRTM_CUSTOMIZING054 indicates that there is an issue with the configuration of flow types and flow categories in the context of condition groups within the SAP system. Specifically, it means that more than one flow type has been assigned to a single flow category, which is not allowed.

    Cause:

    The error occurs when:

    • A flow category is configured to have multiple flow types assigned to it in the condition group settings.
    • The system expects only one flow type to be assigned to each flow category to maintain data integrity and proper processing.

    Solution:

To resolve this error, you need to check and adjust the configuration settings in the SAP system. Here are the steps to do so:

    1. Access Customizing Settings:

      • Go to the SAP Easy Access screen and navigate to the customizing settings for the relevant module (e.g., Treasury and Risk Management).
    2. Check Condition Groups:

      • Find the condition group that is causing the error. You can usually find this under the configuration for flow types or condition groups.
    3. Review Flow Categories:

      • Look for the flow category mentioned in the error message (e.g., &1) and check which flow types are currently assigned to it.
    4. Adjust Assignments:

      • Ensure that only one flow type is assigned to the flow category. If there are multiple flow types, you will need to remove the additional assignments.
      • If necessary, create a new flow category for the additional flow types if they need to be retained.
    5. Save Changes:

      • After making the necessary adjustments, save your changes and exit the customizing settings.
    6. Test the Configuration:

      • Perform a test transaction that previously triggered the error to ensure that the issue has been resolved.

    Related Information:

    • Flow Types and Flow Categories: Understanding the relationship between flow types and flow categories is crucial for proper configuration. Flow types represent specific types of financial transactions, while flow categories group these types for reporting and processing purposes.
    • SAP Documentation: Refer to the official SAP documentation or help guides for detailed information on configuring flow types and categories.
    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes (e.g., SPRO for customizing) that can help you navigate the configuration settings more efficiently.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert for further assistance.
