TR861
- Request/task &1 cannot be deleted because it contains locked objects ?The SAP error message TR861 indicates that a transport request or task cannot be deleted because it contains locked objects. This typically occurs when there are objects within the transport request that are currently locked in the system, preventing the deletion of the request or task.
Cause:
- Locked Objects: The transport request contains objects that are currently locked by another user or process. This can happen if someone is editing or has recently edited the objects included in the transport request.
- Incomplete Changes: If changes to the objects have not been fully saved or have been interrupted, they may remain in a locked state.
- Transport Dependencies: The objects in the transport request may be dependent on other requests or tasks that are also locked.
Solution:
Identify Locked Objects:
- Use transaction code SM12 to check for locked objects. You can filter by user or object name to find out which objects are locked.
- Once you identify the locked objects, you can determine who is locking them and why.
Release Locks:
- If you have the necessary authorizations, you can manually release the locks on the objects in question. Be cautious when doing this, as it may affect other users.
- If the locks are held by another user, you may need to communicate with them to resolve the issue.
Check Transport Dependencies:
- Ensure that there are no dependencies on other transport requests that might be causing the lock. You can check the transport logs or use transaction SE01 to analyze the transport requests.
Wait for Unlock:
- If the locked objects are being used by another user, you may need to wait until they finish their work and release the locks.
Delete Transport Request:
- Once the locks are cleared, you should be able to delete the transport request or task without encountering the TR861 error.
Related Information:
If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be necessary to consult with your SAP Basis team or refer to SAP support for further assistance.
