TR416
- Changes are automatically transported ?The SAP error message TR416 ("Changes are automatically transported") typically occurs in the context of the Transport Management System (TMS) when there are changes in the system that are set to be transported automatically. This message indicates that the changes made in the development environment are being automatically included in a transport request, which may not be the intended behavior.
Cause:
- Automatic Transport Settings: The system is configured to automatically include certain changes in transport requests. This can happen if the transport layer is set to automatically transport changes for specific objects or if the transport request is configured to include all changes.
- Development Class Settings: The development class of the object being changed may have settings that dictate how changes are handled in relation to transport requests.
- Transport Request Configuration: The transport request may be set up in a way that it captures changes automatically, which can lead to confusion if developers are not aware of this setting.
Solution:
- Review Transport Settings: Check the transport settings in the Transport Management System (TMS) to see if automatic transport is enabled for the relevant objects or development classes. You can do this by navigating to the TMS configuration.
- Change Development Class Settings: If the development class is set to automatically transport changes, consider modifying this setting if it does not align with your development process.
- Manual Transport Request: If you want to control which changes are transported, you can create a manual transport request and add the changes explicitly rather than relying on automatic transport.
- Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or consult with your SAP Basis team to understand the implications of automatic transport settings and how they can be adjusted to fit your needs.
