How To Fix TR309 - Name too long for cross-type reservation (maximum &1)

• Message number: 309

• Message text: Name too long for cross-type reservation (maximum &1)

What causes this issue?

The generic name that you enter for the cross-type name range
reservation cannot be longer than the maximum permitted name length for
the object type with the shortest name length. The maximum object name
length for database objects is &V1& characters.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Choose a shorted generic name for specifying the reserved name range.
