What causes this issue?

In table "&V1&", an entry that is not numeric was made in the key
description for a "numeric" field.
The key description is: "&V2&".
This error can also occur when the length of the object name is changed,
causing characters to shift.

System Response

The entry was rejected.

How to fix this error?

Enter an appropriate key description for the numeric field.
If the error is due to the changed length of the object name, then
delete all the table key subobjects causing the error.
