- Transfer cannot be reversed because position is used in HR &1 ?The SAP error message TPM_THX1215 indicates that a transfer cannot be reversed because the position in question is currently being used in Human Resources (HR). This typically occurs in the context of personnel administration or organizational management where a position is linked to an employee or a specific HR transaction.
Cause:
- Position in Use: The position you are trying to reverse is actively being used in HR-related transactions, such as employee assignments, payroll, or other HR processes.
- Data Integrity: SAP enforces data integrity rules to prevent inconsistencies in HR data. If a position is linked to an employee, reversing the transfer could lead to data discrepancies.
Solution:
- Check Position Usage: Verify if the position is currently assigned to any employees or if there are any ongoing HR processes that involve this position. You can do this by checking the HR master data or organizational management data.
- Release Dependencies: If the position is in use, you may need to release or complete any HR transactions that are dependent on this position. This could involve:
- Unassigning employees from the position.
- Completing or reversing any related HR actions.
- Consult HR Team: If you are unsure about the implications of unassigning a position or if there are complex dependencies, consult with your HR team or SAP HR module expert.
- Use Transaction Codes: Utilize relevant transaction codes (like PA20 for displaying HR master data or PPOSE for organizational management) to investigate the current status of the position.
- Re-attempt Transfer Reversal: Once you have ensured that the position is no longer in use, attempt to reverse the transfer again.
