  • What causes this issue?

    An internal error has occurred.
    The ABAP Debugger contains a set of standard tools that must always
    be available.
    These include the Editor or the variable fast display, for example.
    The administration data for these standard tools is hard-coded in the
    class CL_TPDA_DEFAULTS.
    The error occurred because this data could not be extracted from the
    above class.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Check whether the class CL_TPDA_DEFAULTS was changed from the
    SAP standard. If it was, restore the standard and then restart the
    Debugger.
