What causes this issue?

Displaying all objects in the component hierarchy and then selecting a
subset of them can take a long time, depending on the number of
objects.

How to fix this error?

If you do not want to use the component hierarchy to restrict the
object list, start transaction SGEN and do not select <ZH>Restrict
generation to selected components</>.
