TD098
- Object & & & does not exist (deleted during import) ?The SAP error message TD098, which states "Object & & & does not exist (deleted during import)," typically occurs during the transport of objects in the SAP system. This error indicates that the system is trying to access an object (like a program, function module, or other development objects) that has been deleted or is not available in the target system.
Cause:
- Object Deletion: The object in question was deleted in the source system after the transport request was created but before it was imported into the target system.
- Transport Request Issues: The transport request may not have included all necessary objects or dependencies, leading to missing objects in the target system.
- Inconsistent System State: The target system may not be in sync with the source system, possibly due to manual changes or incomplete transports.
- Transport Order: The transport order may not have been executed in the correct sequence, leading to dependencies not being met.
Solution:
- Check Object Existence: Verify if the object exists in the source system. If it has been deleted, you may need to recreate it or restore it from a backup if possible.
- Re-import Transport Request: If the transport request is incomplete, you may need to re-import it or create a new transport request that includes all necessary objects.
- Check Transport Logs: Review the transport logs for any errors or warnings that may indicate why the object is missing. This can provide insights into what went wrong during the transport process.
- Dependencies: Ensure that all dependent objects are included in the transport request. If an object relies on another object that was not transported, it may lead to this error.
- Manual Correction: If the object is critical and cannot be restored, you may need to manually recreate the object in the target system.
- Consult Documentation: Check SAP notes or documentation related to the specific object type for any known issues or additional troubleshooting steps.
