Message type: E = Error
Message class: TB - SM31 table maintenance messages
Message number: 117
Message text: Caution: changes must be recorded (see help)
You tried to access table data in change mode. In the current client,
changes must be recorded in a change request. The current maintenance
transaction, however, cannot do this for technical reasons. In this
case you have to record the changes manually, or even better (if
possible) maintain the table with Customizing (pushbutton 'Customizing'
or 'View maintenance' in the initial screen).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
To record the changes manually, use the request editor of the Workbench
or Customizing Organizer after performing the changes.
In the Organizer, choose a change request and call the request editor.
Then enter the following data:
PgmID = R3TR
Obj = TABU
Object name = &V1&
Double-click on the line to enter the object key. It is essential that
you enter the key of the changed entry. If you forget this, the table
will be transported completely! To simplify the entry of the key, you
can also enter the key field-by- field by double-clicking on the entry
field.
You have to save the entered data at the end.
