How To Fix SUSR_DBMS013 - Enter a valid DBMS user name

What causes this issue?

SAP HANA only supports a subset of the characters for user ID that SAP
NetWeaver Application Server ABAP supports.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Enter a user ID which does not contain the following characters:
! " $ % ' ( ) * + <(>,<)> . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ ` { | } ~
Note: If you enter lowercase letters (a-z), User Maintenance
(transaction SU01) converts lowercase letters to uppercase letters
(A-Z).
