SS264
- Processing language (&) differs from original language of object & ?The SAP error message SS264 indicates that there is a mismatch between the processing language of the user and the original language of the object being accessed. This typically occurs when a user is trying to access or process an object (like a program, report, or transaction) that was originally created in a different language than the one currently set in the user's session.
Cause:
- Language Mismatch: The user is logged into the SAP system with a different language setting than the language in which the object was created.
- Object Language: The object (e.g., a report or program) was developed in a specific language (e.g., German, French) and the user is trying to access it in another language (e.g., English).
- User Profile Settings: The user profile may have a default language that does not match the language of the object.
Solution:
Change User Language:
- Log out of the SAP system and log back in with the language that matches the object. You can change the language in the login screen by selecting the appropriate language from the dropdown menu.
Check Object Language:
- If you have access to the development environment, check the language settings of the object. You can do this by navigating to the object in the ABAP Workbench (SE80) and checking its properties.
Create a Language Version:
- If you need to work with the object in a different language, consider creating a language version of the object. This may require development access and knowledge of the object’s content.
User Profile Adjustment:
- If the user frequently needs to access objects in multiple languages, consider adjusting the user profile settings to accommodate this.
Consult Documentation:
- Review SAP documentation or consult with your SAP Basis or development team for further assistance if the issue persists.
