How To Fix SS153 - Cannot upload ASAP scope to System &1

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: SS - Integration IMG - function model - SAP analyzer

  • Message number: 153

  • Message text: Cannot upload ASAP scope to System &1

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The implementation method currently set for this system is
    "model-oriented".

    System Response

The system does not accept the ASAP scope: The model-oriented method is
intended only for use with the Business Configurator.

    How to fix this error?

To change the implementation method, open Transaction SB12 in the
system concerned and change the implementation method selection. The
selection options are not active (they are dimmed) if you do not have
the required authorization (Authorization S_IMG_GENE, Field ACTVT,
Value 02). Note that when configuration data is transferred back to the
R/3 System, any selection of components already made for the Enterprise
IMG (and the Enterprise IMG iteslf) in the R/3 System is overwritten.
This means it is worthwhile changing the implementation method only if
the IMG is not already being used in the system. Changing the
implementation method does not not trigger an automatic regeneration of
the Enterprise IMG. If you change back from the model-oriented to the
component-oriented implementation method, you should then generate a
    new Enterprise IMG.
