  • Message text: Uploading configuration data into System &1 not allowed

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The system is currently set for component-oriented implementation.

    System Response

The system disallows the transfer of configuration data in order to
avoid accidental loss of of the component selection work done for
    generating the Enterprise IMG.

    How to fix this error?

To change the implementation method for a system, call transaction SB12
in that system and change the appropriate radio-button selection. If
the radio buttons are not available, you are not authorized to generate
the Enterprise IMG (authorization 'S_IMG_GENE', field 'ACTVT', value
'02'). Note that if you transfer configuration data, any existing
enterprise component selection and the Enterprise IMG will be
overwritten. Changing the method is only advisable if you have not been
working live with the IMG in the system. Any changes to the
implementation method do not lead to the IMG being automatically
regenerated. If you change back to a component-oriented method from a
process-oriented approach, you should regenerate the Enterprise-IMG.
