What causes this issue?

An attempt was made to edit the service definition &V1& with transaction
WSCONFIG. This is not possible for this service definition, since it has
a new service definition version (release 710 and later).

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Use the web service configuration interface offered by the ITSAM
framework.
