How To Fix SR055 - User can be used for remote logon in target system

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: SR - RFC utilities

  • Message number: 055

  • Message text: User can be used for remote logon in target system

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Logon data stored in an RFC destination is used to log on to the target
system. Since RFC destinations can be used, in principle, by each user
with RFC authorization, this logon data may represent a gap in the
    system security.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

Only store logon data for an RFC destination that has very restricted
authorizations in the target system. Then there is no risk when you use
RFC to access this system. If you are using a user with the type
"Service" or "Communication", then you can only communicate with the
target system of the destination from programs, and not with a dialog
(for example, for remote debugging or remote logons).
