  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You tried to open an office document. However, the system established
that a document of this kind is already open. Since only one document
at a time can be processed in-place, the system cannot open the
    document.

    System Response

The document has not been opened.

    How to fix this error?

Close the document that is alreadey open and then try to open the new
    document again.
It can sometimes happen that an office application remains open with a
document in it, even though it appears that it has been closed. This is
because the operating system process to whcih the office application
was assigned is still running even after the application has been
closed. When this happens, the SAP System assumes that the application
is still active, which is why you cannot open the document. If this
happens, save all of your changes, and log off from the SAP System.
Then log on again. It should then be possible to open the required
    document in-place.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
