This alert shows the millisecs per access for each file which makes up
the database. The time is calculated by querrying the system function
::fn_virtualfilestats and dividing the column IoStallMS by the the
total number of reads and writes.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
If alerts are displayed for access times more the 10ms / access, then
consider reengineering the i/o system being measured. More disk i/o
could be added, or the file layout changed to achieve better
performance.
