The SAP error message SKTA013 indicates that there is an issue with the background processing system in SAP. This error can occur for a couple of reasons, primarily related to the availability of background processes or issues with the logon language settings. Here’s a breakdown of the causes, potential solutions, and related information:

    Causes:

    1. No Background Process Available: This typically means that there are no background work processes available to handle the job you are trying to execute. This can happen if:

      • All background processes are busy.
      • The background processing system is not configured correctly.
      • There are insufficient resources allocated to the background processing.
    2. Incorrect Logon Language: This can occur if the logon language specified in the user profile does not match the language settings of the background job or if the language is not supported.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Background Process Availability:

      • Go to transaction SM50 (Process Overview) to check the status of the background processes. Look for any processes that are busy or in error.
      • If all background processes are busy, you may need to wait for them to complete or investigate what jobs are running.
      • Ensure that the number of background processes is sufficient for your workload. You can adjust this in the instance profile settings.
    2. Adjust Background Job Configuration:

      • Check the configuration of the background job in transaction SM37 (Job Monitoring) to see if there are any issues with the job definition.
      • If necessary, increase the number of background work processes in the instance profile (transaction RZ10).
    3. Logon Language Settings:

      • Verify the logon language settings in your user profile. You can check this in transaction SU01 (User Maintenance) by looking at the "Defaults" tab.
      • Ensure that the language specified is supported and matches the language settings of the background job.
    4. Restart Background Processing:

      • If you suspect that the background processing system is not functioning correctly, you may need to restart the SAP instance or the background processing service.
    5. Check System Logs:
