Message text: Record violates 1:1 or N:1 scenario for seg. strategy &1 in MRP node
The MRP data in segmentation rules violates the 1:1 or N:1 scenario in
the MRP node for segmentation strategy.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Maintain the rules in the MRP node for the segmentation strategy so that
it does not violate the 1:1 or N:1 scenario. You can do this using the

SGT_SIC002
- Record violates 1:1 or N:1 scenario for seg. strategy &1 in MRP node ?The SAP error message SGT_SIC002 indicates that there is a violation of the 1:1 or N:1 relationship in the segmentation strategy for a specific MRP (Material Requirements Planning) node. This typically occurs in the context of SAP's Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) or similar modules where segmentation strategies are used to define how materials are planned and managed.
Cause:
- Segmentation Strategy Misconfiguration: The segmentation strategy defined for the MRP node may not be correctly set up to handle the relationships between the segments and the materials.
- Data Inconsistency: There may be inconsistencies in the master data or planning data that violate the expected relationships.
- Incorrect Assignment: The material or product may be incorrectly assigned to a segment that does not allow for the current configuration (e.g., a material assigned to multiple segments when it should only be in one).
- Hierarchy Issues: If the segmentation strategy is based on a hierarchy, there may be issues with how the hierarchy is defined or how materials are assigned within that hierarchy.
Solution:
- Review Segmentation Strategy: Check the segmentation strategy configuration in the system. Ensure that it is set up correctly to reflect the intended relationships between segments and materials.
- Check Material Assignments: Verify that materials are assigned correctly to the segments according to the defined strategy. Ensure that no material is assigned to multiple segments if the strategy requires a 1:1 relationship.
- Data Consistency Check: Perform a data consistency check to identify any discrepancies in the master data or planning data. Correct any inconsistencies found.
- Adjust Hierarchies: If applicable, review and adjust the hierarchies used in the segmentation strategy to ensure they align with the intended planning logic.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidelines on configuring segmentation strategies and resolving related errors.
