What causes this issue?

Segmentation fields cannot be assigned to the material

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

You can assign segmentation to a material which doesn't have:
Material Types selected as 'VKHM Additionals' and 'KMAT Configurable
materials'.
Open documents.
Note: You cannot maintain segmentation for a variant.
