  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

In the BAdI definition &V1&, the property "Limited Filter Use" is set.
Therefore, in the BAdI definition, only one filter at most can be
defined; as a result, the filter combinations of the corresponding BAdI
implementations can only consist of one filter each.
In addition, there are further restrictions for the filter expressions
in all the corresponding BAdI implementations.
At least one filter combination must be specified.
As the comparator in filter values, only the equals sign '=' is allowed.
    AND links are not possible.
One of these conditions is violated in the BAdI implementation &V2&.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message SEEF_BADI130 - Select one filter only (limited filter use) ?

The SAP error message SEEF_BADI130, which states "Select one filter only (limited filter use)," typically occurs when you are trying to use a Business Add-In (BAdI) that has restrictions on the number of filters that can be applied simultaneously. This error is common in scenarios where a BAdI is designed to work with a single filter to ensure that the implementation logic is clear and unambiguous.

    Cause:

    The error is triggered when:

    • You attempt to select multiple filters for a BAdI implementation that only allows one filter at a time.
    • The BAdI is designed to process data based on a single criterion, and selecting multiple filters can lead to conflicts or ambiguity in the processing logic.

    Solution:

To resolve this error, you should:

    1. Review the BAdI Documentation: Check the documentation for the specific BAdI you are working with to understand its filtering capabilities and limitations.
    2. Select a Single Filter: Modify your selection criteria to ensure that only one filter is applied at a time. This may involve changing your selection logic in the code or the configuration settings.
    3. Check Implementation: If you are implementing the BAdI, ensure that your implementation logic is designed to handle only one filter. You may need to adjust your code to accommodate this restriction.
    4. Consult with SAP Notes: Look for any relevant SAP Notes that may provide additional guidance or updates related to the BAdI you are using.

    Related Information:

    • BAdI Documentation: Each BAdI has specific documentation that outlines its purpose, usage, and limitations. Familiarize yourself with this documentation.
    • SAP Community: Engage with the SAP Community forums or support channels to see if others have encountered similar issues and how they resolved them.
    • Debugging: If you have access to the development environment, consider debugging the BAdI implementation to see how the filters are being processed and where the error is being triggered.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the SEEF_BADI130 error and successfully implement the desired functionality using the BAdI.
