Message text: Update of SAP Web IDE projects failed; see long text
An error occurred in the update of the SAP Web IDE projects. This error
appears as a warning in the following lines. One possible cause of the
error is missing OAuth2 communication from ABAP to XSA in the client
&v2&.
Das Objekt kann in XSA nur gel?scht werden, wenn die Kommunikation
korrekt konfiguriert ist.
First check the communication from ABAP to XSA and then update the SAP
Web IDE projects manually.
Proceed as follows:
Log on to the ABAP system in the client that was configured for
developing HDI objects.
Start the transaction SCTS_HTA_TOOLS (<LS>Transactions and Utility
Programs for SAP HANA Transport for ABAP</>), and choose the link <LS>
Test HDI Configuration</> under <LS>HTA for HDI -> Configuration in
Development System</>. This starts a program that tests the HDI
configuration.
If the test produces errors, long texts are available that help you to
remove these errors.
If the test does not produce any errors, choose <LS>Back</> to go back
to transaction SCTS_HTA_TOOLS.
Under <LS>HTA for HDI -> Troubleshooting Tools</>, select the link <LS>
Run Administrative Tasks in HTA for HDI</>.
Choose the action <LS>Update references in projects of SAP Web IDE</>,
enter the HDI container &v1& and choose <LS>Execute</>.
If the update does not work here either, analyze the error message and
check whether the problem is a know issue in Guided Answer <LS>
Troubleshooting HTA for HDI</> in SAP Support Portal under

Bitten Sie die Systemadministration, die Konfiguration durchzufnhren wie
in Kapitel <LS>Configuring the Communication from ABAP to XSA</> des
Konfigurationsleitfadens <LS>Configure your ABAP Development System for

This error typically occurs in the context of SAP HANA development and can be related to various issues, such as problems with the HDI container, project configuration, or connectivity issues.
Possible Causes:
- HDI Container Issues: The HDI (HANA Deployment Infrastructure) container may not be properly configured or may be in an inconsistent state.
- Project Configuration: There may be issues with the project settings or dependencies that are preventing the update from completing successfully.
- Network Issues: Connectivity problems between the SAP Web IDE and the HANA database can lead to update failures.

- Resource Limitations: The HANA database may be running out of resources (e.g., memory, disk space) which can prevent updates.
Solutions:
Check HDI Container Status:

- If the container is in a failed state, you may need to recreate it or resolve any underlying issues.
Review Project Configuration:

- Check the
.hdbproject

- Ensure that there are no network issues between the SAP Web IDE and the HANA database.
- Test the connection to the database from the Web IDE.
Check User Permissions:
- Verify that the user has the necessary permissions to update the project in the HDI container.
- You may need to adjust roles and privileges in the SAP HANA database.
Monitor Resource Usage:
- Check the resource usage of the HANA database to ensure it is not running out of memory or disk space.
- If resources are low, consider optimizing the database or increasing the allocated resources.
Consult Logs:
- Look at the logs for more detailed error messages that can provide additional context on why the update failed.
- Logs can often be found in the SAP Web IDE or the HANA database.
Rebuild the Project:
- Sometimes, simply rebuilding the project can resolve transient issues. Try to clean and rebuild the project in the SAP Web IDE.
