This error typically arises in the context of the SAP Change and Transport System (CTS) when you attempt to delete transport requests or related objects that are still in use or have dependencies.
Causes:
- Dependencies: The objects you are trying to delete may have dependencies on other objects or transport requests that are still active or in use.
- Transport Status: The transport requests may not be in a status that allows deletion (e.g., they may be released or imported).
- Authorizations: You may lack the necessary authorizations to delete the specified objects or transport requests.
- System Configuration: Certain system configurations or settings may prevent the deletion of specific objects.
Solutions:
- Check Dependencies: Review the dependencies of the objects you are trying to delete. Ensure that there are no active references or dependencies that would prevent deletion.
- Change Status: If the transport requests are in a status that does not allow deletion, consider changing their status (e.g., by reversing or deleting dependent requests) if appropriate.
- Authorization Check: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to delete the objects. You may need to consult with your SAP security administrator.
- Use Transaction SE01: You can use transaction SE01 (Transport Organizer) to check the status of the transport requests and see if there are any issues preventing deletion.
