Message text: Table & not suitable for inclusion in a BC Set
You are trying to add a data record to a table in a BC Set. This table
is not suitable for inclusion in a BC Set.
This is often the case for system tables.
Tables with numbers from number ranges in the key are also unsuitable.
The BC Set data is transported unchanged to the target system, where
the key would probably not be correct (example: Table SADR).
The system does enter records from this table in the BC Set.
Data for this table has to be entered manually in the target system.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

SCPR086
- Table & not suitable for inclusion in a BC Set ?The SAP error message SCPR086 indicates that a specific table is not suitable for inclusion in a Business Configuration Set (BC Set). This typically occurs when you attempt to include a table that does not meet the criteria for BC Set inclusion. Here’s a breakdown of the cause, potential solutions, and related information:
Cause
- Table Type: The table you are trying to include may not be a customizing table. BC Sets can only include customizing tables, which are typically used for configuration settings.
- Table Structure: The structure of the table may not be compatible with BC Sets. For example, if the table has certain fields or characteristics that are not supported, it will trigger this error.
- Data Consistency: The data in the table may not be consistent or may not meet the requirements for inclusion in a BC Set.
- Technical Restrictions: Some tables are inherently restricted from being included in BC Sets due to their technical nature or usage in the system.
Solution
- Check Table Type: Verify that the table you are trying to include is indeed a customizing table. You can do this by checking the table definition in the Data Dictionary (transaction SE11).
- Review Table Structure: Ensure that the table structure is compatible with BC Sets. Look for any fields that may not be allowed or any special characteristics that could prevent inclusion.
- Use Alternative Methods: If the table cannot be included in a BC Set, consider using other methods for transport or configuration, such as creating a transport request or using a different configuration management tool.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to BC Sets to understand the specific requirements and limitations for the tables you are working with.
- Contact SAP Support: If you believe the table should be eligible for inclusion, consider reaching out to SAP support for further assistance or clarification.
