Message type: E = Error
Message class: SCPR - BC Sets
Message number: 045
Message text: Field &2 cannot be put in the BC Set for table/view &1
The selected field '&V2&' (field name: '&V3&') of table/view '&V1&'
cannot be put in a BC Set.
This could be because:
Only fields which can be maintained in the table/view can be entered.
The basis table, from which the field originally comes, must have an
entry in the customizing object piece list.
Example: All tables which are maintained in a view must be in the piece
list, and these tables (e.g. text tables) must be connected to the
basis table of the view, in the view definition.
You can see the definition of the customizing object with the
transaction code "SOBJ".
It is too long (more than 255 characters output length)
The field for table/view '&V1&' is not accepted in the BC Set.
Check the definition of the view/table in the Data Dictionary, and in
the customizing object maintenance transaction.
Find out in which tables/views this field is appropriately maintained,
and put one of these tables/views in this BC Set.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Field &2 cannot be put in the BC Set for table/view &1 ?The SAP error message SCPR045 indicates that a specific field (denoted as &2) cannot be included in a Business Configuration Set (BC Set) for a particular table or view (denoted as &1). This error typically arises when there are restrictions on certain fields that prevent them from being included in BC Sets.
Cause:
- Field Characteristics: The field you are trying to include may have characteristics that do not allow it to be part of a BC Set. For example, it could be a field that is not meant to be configurable or is not intended for transport.
- Technical Restrictions: Some fields are defined in such a way that they cannot be included in BC Sets due to their technical nature (e.g., key fields, system fields).
- Data Consistency: Including certain fields may violate data consistency rules or dependencies within the system.
Solution:
- Review Field Properties: Check the properties of the field in the Data Dictionary (SE11) to understand why it cannot be included. Look for attributes like "Key Field" or "Technical Field."
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to BC Sets and the specific table/view to understand any limitations or guidelines.
- Modify BC Set: If the field is not essential for your configuration, consider removing it from the BC Set. Focus on including only those fields that are necessary for your configuration needs.
- Use Alternative Approaches: If you need to transport or configure settings related to that field, consider using other methods such as customizing requests or manual configuration.
