SCODELIST_REGISTRY004
- Domain fixed values have no context ?The SAP error message SCODELIST_REGISTRY004, which states "Domain fixed values have no context," typically occurs in the context of SAP's data dictionary and domain management. This error indicates that there is an issue with the fixed values defined for a domain, specifically that these values are not associated with a valid context.
Cause:
- Missing Context: The fixed values for a domain are defined without a corresponding context. In SAP, contexts are used to group fixed values that are relevant to specific scenarios or applications.
- Incorrect Domain Configuration: The domain may have been incorrectly configured, leading to a situation where the fixed values cannot be properly referenced.
- Transport Issues: If the domain was transported from one system to another, there may have been issues during the transport that caused the context to be lost or not properly defined.
Solution:
Check Domain Definition:
- Go to transaction code SE11 (Data Dictionary).
- Enter the domain name and check the fixed values and their associated contexts.
- Ensure that the fixed values are correctly assigned to a context.
Define Context:
- If the context is missing, you may need to create a new context or assign the fixed values to an existing context.
- This can be done in the domain definition screen by specifying the appropriate context.
Review Transport Requests:
- If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs for any errors or warnings related to the domain.
- Ensure that all necessary objects related to the domain and its context were included in the transport request.
Consult Documentation:
- Review SAP documentation or notes related to domain management and fixed values for any specific guidelines or updates that may apply to your version of SAP.
Testing:
- After making changes, test the domain in the relevant transactions to ensure that the error no longer occurs.
Related Information:
If the problem persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP Basis or ABAP team for further investigation and resolution.
