Message text: Object &1 &2 &3 locked in request &4; object cannot be copied
The system attempted to copy the object &V1& &V2& &V3& to the change
request of the current corrective measure. This is not possible since
the object is currently being edited in anothe change request (&V4&).
The object is not copied to your change request.
You can copy the object to your change request only after request &V4&
has been released.
In some exceptional cases it may make sense to delete the object from
request &V4& and then include it in this request. However, you risk
making the transport inconsistent.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

SB305
- Object &1 &2 &3 locked in request &4; object cannot be copied ?The SAP error message SB305 indicates that a specific object (identified by the parameters &1, &2, &3) is locked in a transport request (identified by &4), and therefore, it cannot be copied. This typically occurs during transport management processes when you attempt to copy or move objects that are currently locked.
Cause:
- Object Locking: The object you are trying to copy is currently locked by another user or process. This can happen if someone is editing the object or if it is being used in another transport request.
- Transport Request Status: The transport request itself may be in a status that does not allow copying or moving of objects.
- Development Environment: The object might be in a development environment where it is being actively worked on, leading to locks.
Solution:
Check Object Lock: Use transaction code SM12 to check for locks on the object. You can search for the object using the relevant parameters. If you find a lock, you can either wait for the lock to be released or contact the user who has locked the object to release it.
Release the Lock: If you have the necessary authorizations, you can manually delete the lock entry in SM12. However, be cautious with this approach, as it may disrupt the work of other users.
Check Transport Request: Ensure that the transport request is in the correct status. If it is in a "modification" status, you may need to release it or change its status to allow copying.
Wait for Completion: If the object is being edited by another user, it may be best to wait until they have finished their work and released the lock.
Consult with Team: If you are unsure about the lock or the object, consult with your development team or the person responsible for the object to understand the situation better.
