Smart SAP Assistant

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY262 - Table/view &1 is cross-client and has delivery class C/A ?

The SAP error message S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY262 indicates that you are trying to access or modify a table or view that is cross-client and has a delivery class of C (Customizing) or A (Application). This means that the data in this table/view is not client-specific and is intended to be used across all clients in the SAP system.

    Cause:

    1. Cross-Client Data: The table or view you are trying to access is designed to hold data that is shared across all clients in the SAP system. This is typically the case for configuration tables or application data that should be consistent across all clients.
    2. Authorization Issues: You may not have the necessary authorizations to access or modify the data in this table/view.
    3. Incorrect Transaction: You might be using a transaction that is not intended for cross-client data manipulation.

    Solution:

    1. Check Transaction: Ensure that you are using the correct transaction for the operation you are trying to perform. If you are trying to customize settings, make sure you are in the appropriate customizing transaction.
    2. Authorization Check: Verify that you have the necessary authorizations to access or modify the data in the table/view. You may need to contact your SAP security administrator to check your roles and authorizations.
    3. Use Client-Specific Transactions: If you need to work with client-specific data, make sure you are using transactions that are designed for client-specific operations.
    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources to understand the purpose of the table/view and the correct way to interact with it.

    Related Information:

    • Delivery Class: The delivery class of a table/view indicates how the data is managed in the SAP system. Class C means that the table is for customizing and can be transported, while class A means it is application data that is not meant to be modified.
    • Cross-Client Tables: Common examples of cross-client tables include configuration tables (like T001 for company codes) and application data that should be consistent across all clients.
    • SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes for any specific issues or updates related to the error message you are encountering.

If you continue to face issues, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert for further assistance.
