Message class: S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY - IMG Activity
Message number: 253
Message text: Compare flag of view cluster &1 does not match the subobjects
View cluster &V1& is flagged as "automatically adjustable" (see the
"Adjustment Flag" field in the attributes of the generated maintenance
dialog for the cluster -> transaction SE54), und contains at least one
view/S table, which is flagged as "not automatically adjustable".
A view cluster can only be classified as "automatically adjustable" if
all subobjects are also "automatically adjustable".
The cluster is activated "unchecked" when the BC Set is activated.
"Checked activation" means that the same data record checks are made as
in dialog maintenance, (in IMG or SM30/SM34), when the data in imported
(BC Set activation).
"Unchecked activation" means theat the data records are activated with
out additional checks (checks via events in generated maintenance
dialog). This activation mode is like importing data by transport.
For checked activation to be possible, the SAP developer responsible for
the object must set the adjustment flag to "automatically adjustable".

- Compare flag of view cluster &1 does not match the subobjects ?The SAP error message S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY253 indicates that there is a mismatch between the compare flag of a view cluster and its subobjects. This typically occurs during the configuration or customization of SAP systems, particularly when working with IMG (Implementation Guide) activities.
Cause:
The error arises when the compare flag (which indicates whether the view cluster should be compared with its subobjects) is not consistent between the view cluster and its associated subobjects. This inconsistency can occur due to:
- Manual Changes: If changes were made manually to the view cluster or its subobjects without updating the compare flag accordingly.
- Transport Issues: If the view cluster was transported from one system to another and the subobjects were not included or were not properly updated.

Solution:
To resolve this error, you can follow these steps:
Check the View Cluster: Go to the transaction code
SE80
(Object Navigator) orSE11
(Data Dictionary) and check the view cluster in question. Verify the settings and the compare flag.Review Subobjects: Check the subobjects associated with the view cluster. Ensure that their compare flags are set correctly and match the main view cluster.
Adjust Compare Flags: If you find discrepancies, adjust the compare flags of the view cluster or its subobjects to ensure they are consistent. This may involve setting the compare flag to the same value for both the view cluster and its subobjects.
Transport Management: If the issue is related to transport, ensure that all relevant objects are included in the transport request and that they are correctly imported into the target system.
Re-activate Objects: Sometimes, re-activating the view cluster and its subobjects can help resolve inconsistencies. You can do this in the relevant transaction codes.
Consult Documentation: If the issue persists, refer to SAP documentation or consult with your SAP Basis or functional team for further assistance.
