  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Switch BC Sets: Table/view &V1& in object &V3& contains a key field ('
&V2&') which cannot be maintained in this table/view.

    System Response

Object &V3& cannot be used in Switch BC Sets, because not all subobjects
    can be used.
Fields which cannot be maintained (fields whose base table has no
appropriate foreign key relationship to the primary table of table/view
&V1&) are not supported by BC Sets. If such fields, as here, are in the
key of a table/view, they cannot be put in BC Sets.

    How to fix this error?

This is a table/view &V1& design error. The SAP developer responsible
for it must change it in the Data Dictionary, before it can be used in
BC Sets. Either the field must be removed from the key, or the basis
table of the field must get an appropriate foreign key relationship to
the primary table of the table/view. If a maintenance dialog has been
generated for the table/view, regenerate it with transaction SE54.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
