Message type: E = Error
Message class: S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY - IMG Activity
Message number: 057
Message text: Incorrect object assigned to the IMG activity (correct object: &1)
IMG assignment: The IMG activity is assigned to the wrong customizing
object.
The transaction, which is called by the IMG activity, is a parameter
transaction based on one of the standard maintenence transactions
SM30/34, which calls the identified view (see short text). An incorrect
object type (for example 'T'), has been assigned here, instead of the
appropriate standard object (type 'S', 'V' or 'C')
Assign the correct maintenance object (&V1&) to the IMG
activity. Contact the SAP developer responsible for the object.
This may make the incorrectly assigned object (of type 'T') superfluous,
in which case it can be deleted.

S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY057
- Incorrect object assigned to the IMG activity (correct object: &1) ?The SAP error message S_CUS_IMG_ACTIVITY057 indicates that there is an incorrect object assigned to a specific Implementation Guide (IMG) activity. The message typically appears when a user tries to access or execute an IMG activity that has been incorrectly configured or when the object associated with that activity does not match the expected object.
Cause:
- Incorrect Configuration: The IMG activity may have been incorrectly configured, leading to a mismatch between the expected object and the one currently assigned.
- Transport Issues: If the IMG activity was transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there may have been issues during the transport process that caused the object assignment to become incorrect.
- Custom Development: If there are custom developments or modifications in the system, they may not align with the standard IMG activities, leading to this error.
- Missing Authorizations: Sometimes, the user may not have the necessary authorizations to view or execute the IMG activity, which can lead to confusion regarding the object assignment.
Solution:
- Check Configuration: Review the configuration of the IMG activity in transaction SPRO. Ensure that the correct object is assigned to the activity. You may need to compare it with the standard configuration or documentation.
- Transport Request: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs for any errors. You may need to re-transport the correct configuration or manually adjust the settings in the target system.
- Correct Object Assignment: If you have access to the configuration, you can manually correct the object assignment to match the expected object indicated in the error message.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific IMG activity to understand the correct object assignment.
- Authorization Check: Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to access the IMG activity. You can check this in transaction SU53 or by consulting with your security team.
