  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

It is recommended that you transfer the configuration for long text
deletion to the filter table (STXXFILTER).

    System Response

If the configuration for long text deletion is saved without
synchronization of the filter table, the previous settings of the filter
table are used for the logging of changes to long texts.
This may result in too many long texts being logged. You are advised to
synchronize the filter table with the configuration.
If the filter table is empty (menu: <LS>Goto -> Delete Filter Table</>),
all long text changes are logged. This puts an increased load on the
database and leads to a deterioration in performance. This setting is
recommended if you wish to log all long texts.

    How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    Procedure for System Administrators

After synchronization of the filter table and the saving of the data,
the system and all its application servers must be completely restarted.
When transporting the changes, note that after the import has taken
place the destination system must likewise be completely restarted.
