Message text: Not able to copy subtree with root node & to hierarchy &
TO copy a subtree in a hierarchy, the following conditions must be met:
The node of the subtree to copy can only be copied to the same level of
the target material hierarchy. A prerequisite is that the higher-level
node (parent node) of the node to copy must exist in the target material
hierarchy.
The node of the subtree to copy cannot appear outside of the
corresponding subtree in the target hierarchy.
The total path length of the subtree to copy and the target hierarchy
(from the node to copy to the root node) must not be deeper than 10
levels.

RTCMMD039
- Not able to copy subtree with root node & to hierarchy & ?The SAP error message RTCMMD039 indicates that there is an issue when trying to copy a subtree in a hierarchy. This error typically occurs in the context of SAP Master Data Management (MDM) or when dealing with hierarchical data structures in SAP applications.
Cause:
The error message "Not able to copy subtree with root node & to hierarchy &" can be caused by several factors, including:
- Invalid Node Reference: The root node you are trying to copy may not exist or may not be valid in the context of the target hierarchy.
- Hierarchy Constraints: There may be constraints or rules defined in the target hierarchy that prevent the copying of certain nodes or subtrees.
- Data Integrity Issues: There could be issues with the data integrity of the nodes being copied, such as missing required fields or relationships.
- Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary permissions to perform the copy operation on the specified hierarchy.
- Technical Issues: There may be technical issues such as system performance problems, database locks, or other underlying system errors.
Solution:
To resolve the RTCMMD039 error, you can take the following steps:
- Verify Node Existence: Check if the root node you are trying to copy exists in the source hierarchy and is valid.
- Check Hierarchy Constraints: Review the target hierarchy for any constraints or rules that may prevent the copying of the subtree. Ensure that the structure of the subtree complies with the target hierarchy's requirements.
- Data Validation: Ensure that all required fields and relationships for the nodes in the subtree are correctly populated and valid.
- Authorization Check: Verify that the user performing the operation has the necessary authorizations to copy nodes in the specified hierarchy.
- System Logs: Check system logs for any additional error messages or warnings that may provide more context about the issue.
