  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You want to copy data for real-time data acquisition with a data
transfer process (DTP). This is currently not possible because the
source PSA still contains requests in status <ZK>green </>that were not
    yet copied to the DTP.
If the DTP would load the current data in the open source request, the
order of the data in the DataStore object could be swapped, resulting in
    incorrect data in the query.

    System Response

The DTP request could not be opened.

    How to fix this error?

First load the green source requests into the DataStore object. One of
these requests has the ID &v1&.
To do so, execute the repair process chain for the DTP in the monitor
for real-time data acqusition. Alternatively, you can start the DTP as a
standard DTP within a process chain or from the DTP maintenance.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RSSTATMAN042 - Real-time upload not possible; request & must first be passed ?

The SAP error message RSSTATMAN042 indicates that a real-time data upload is not possible because the request specified (denoted by &) must first be passed. This typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when trying to perform a real-time data extraction or upload from a source system to a target system.

    Cause:

The error usually arises due to one of the following reasons:

    1. Request Not Yet Passed: The data request that you are trying to upload has not been successfully passed to the data target. In BW, a request must be processed and passed before it can be used for real-time data uploads.

    2. Data Request Status: The status of the data request may not be suitable for real-time upload. For example, if the request is still in a "new" or "in process" state, it cannot be used for real-time data extraction.

    3. Data Source Configuration: There may be issues with the configuration of the data source or the InfoProvider that is supposed to receive the data.

    Solution:

To resolve the RSSTATMAN042 error, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Request Status:

      • Go to the Data Warehousing Workbench (transaction code RSA1).
      • Navigate to the InfoProvider where the request is located.
      • Check the status of the request in the "Manage" tab. Ensure that the request has been successfully processed and is in a "green" status.
    2. Pass the Request:

      • If the request is not passed, you can manually pass it. This can usually be done by selecting the request and choosing the option to "Pass" or "Activate" it.
    3. Monitor Data Load:

      • Ensure that the data load process is completed successfully. You can check the process chain or the data load monitor (transaction code RSMO) to see if there are any issues with the data load.
    4. Check Data Source Configuration:

      • Verify that the data source is correctly configured for real-time data extraction. This includes checking the settings in the source system and ensuring that the necessary authorizations are in place.
    5. Consult Logs:

      • Review the logs for any additional error messages or warnings that might provide more context about the issue. You can check the application log (transaction code SLG1) for relevant entries.
    6. Reprocess the Request:

      • If necessary, you can reprocess the request or create a new request to ensure that the data is available for real-time upload.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench), RSMO (Data Load Monitor), SLG1 (Application Log).
    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that might address specific issues related to real-time data uploads or the RSSTATMAN042 error.
    • Documentation: Review SAP documentation on real-time data extraction and data request management for best practices and troubleshooting tips.

If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP Basis or BW team for further investigation.
