Message text: There are key figures with aggregation <> summation in InfoCube &1
In (basic) InfoCube &V1& there are key figures, &V2& for example, that
do not use summation as a form of aggregation. As a result, the value
zero is also not necessarily the neutral element with reference to this
aggregation.
This means that deleting the fact records for which the dimension key
has been lost and for which all key figures are zero, is not a feasible
method of removing errors. This in turn means that you are not able to
remove inconsistencies that have arisen because a dimension key has
been lost.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RSRV049
- There are key figures with aggregation <> summation in InfoCube &1 ?The SAP error message RSRV049 indicates that there are key figures in an InfoCube that have an aggregation type other than summation. This can lead to inconsistencies in reporting and data analysis, as the system expects certain key figures to be aggregated in a specific manner.
Cause:
The error typically arises when:
- Key Figures Configuration: Some key figures in the InfoCube are defined with aggregation types that do not align with the expected behavior (e.g., average, minimum, maximum, etc.) instead of the default summation.
- Data Model Design: The design of the InfoCube may not be appropriate for the type of analysis being performed, leading to confusion in how data should be aggregated.
- Data Loading Issues: If data is loaded into the InfoCube without proper aggregation settings, it can lead to this error.
Solution:
To resolve the RSRV049 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Key Figure Settings:
- Go to the InfoObject maintenance (transaction code
RSA1
).- Navigate to the key figures in question and check their aggregation settings.
- Ensure that key figures that should be summed are set to "summation" as their aggregation type.
Modify the InfoCube:
- If necessary, modify the InfoCube to change the aggregation type of the key figures that are causing the issue.
- This may involve redesigning the InfoCube or creating new key figures with the correct aggregation settings.
Data Consistency Check:
- Use transaction
RSRV
to run a consistency check on the InfoCube.- This will help identify any other potential issues related to data integrity.
Reprocess Data:
- After making changes, you may need to reprocess the data in the InfoCube to ensure that it reflects the correct aggregation settings.
Documentation and Testing:
- Document any changes made to the InfoCube and key figures.
- Test the reporting functionality to ensure that the changes have resolved the issue and that data is being aggregated correctly.
Related Information:
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the RSRV049 error and ensure that your InfoCube is functioning correctly with the appropriate aggregation settings.
